All the little projects are almost done. The favors are half done. Half just need bows! The bubble have all had their bows attached and trimmed. Invitations are gone, RSVPs are coming back. We need to get the guys tuxes reserved, my dress altered, the photo board completed (probably in April) and then OOT baskets done the day before people arrive! The list seems so small!

We are now at 97 days to go! Wedding invitations are out (with over 20 confirmed guests already!) and bridal shower invites are going out shortly if they aren't already out for the Portland shower.
We ordered my wedding ring yesterday and we'll order Matt's next week. It is very exciting. Mine is just a simple 2MM flat 14k white gold band and Matt's is titanium with an inlay of meteorite (yes, from space!). He is really excited about it. He wants to be able to pump his fist into the air and yell, "My ring is from space!!!" He's such a nut. The 30 Day Shred has been going awesomely! I have a ton more endurance and I am loving the feeling afterward, no matter how sore I am!
Our invitations went out Monday and tons of people have let me know that they received them! Yay! That means we should starting getting RSVPs in the next 2 weeks! I'm going to do the 30 Day Shred with my fellow May 2010 Knotties starting tomorrow. My goal is to wakeup by 6 so I can work out an still have time to shower and dry my hair before school. I will be doing this for the next 30 days!
My first fitting is March 1st and the alterator told me not to lose weight after the first fitting, but I am going to lose weight up until April 1st. There is no reason for me to have my dress in hand 6 weeks before the wedding when I can get an extra 4 weeks to lose weight and have it 2 weeks before the wedding. As long as it is ready to go the day before that is fine by me! Of course, the day before might be cutting it close! =P I'm really hoping that this works for me. I would love to be in great shape for the wedding and the honeymoon. I want to look fantastic in a bikini!!! I do need to go bikini shopping the second half of February. I can never find a nice suit that fits once March hits! Oh my goodness. I can't believe invitations are going out on Monday! It's coming so quickly! 6 weeks after that is the RSVP due date. I am so excited!
I can't believe it!!! I meet with the design department on Wednesday and then two weeks later I meet with the wedding planner!!! I am so VERY excited!
I go to Seattle/Portland in March for my bridal shower. I know Julie is wanting to host one at home, but I am not sure when she wants to do that. I figure sometime in April. Matt and I have decided to change our first dance song. I was having second thoughts that it might be too untraditional and our guests might find it weird. Matt wants me to start pulling up ideas so I will be doing that this week. It is now our year! I am so excited! This year Matt and I will become husband and wife!
Of course, now that the New Year has come, there is much more to do on the wedding front. We have all our appointments starting at the end of the month! But I did get some wedding related things for Christmas! I got my mom's brooch from her wedding dress (35 years ago) for my something old. It will be attached to my bouquet. My brother and SIL got me a blank cream colored scrapbook and TONS of wedding-related embellishes and papers in wedding colors! I am so excited! Included was also a mini-kit for engagement so I made the engagement page on the first page. Everything else will be the wedding.
We ring in 2010 in only a couple days. I am looking forward to what the New Year will bring! Not only do I return to classes on the 4th, but it will be the year Matt and I get married!!! The end of January all the big appointments begin (and all the checks get written...). I am really excited! The ticker is really counting down (seen on the main page)! 5 months 29 days to go (180 days) until I am Mrs. Conner! I am so very excited!
I don't have much to do planning wise right now. My engagement pics are halfway done. All my DIY projects except 1 are done. All I have to do is put together (or purchase) a fake flower toss bouquet. I might just buy one already put together to save myself some time. I am just going to throw it so it doesn't really matter to me if it matches colors or whatever. I will probably just go for a white rose toss bouquet. Nice and easy! I am tossing around the idea of making photo share cards. I would love for people that take pictures to send copies to me (or in this case upload them online) for everyone to see! Plus, that way I get some pictures before the photographer gets me my disc of pro pics. I don't have any wedding appointments until the end of February. On the 24th Matt, his parents, and I are going to go to a mini bridal show hosted by our venue and we'll get to do our tasting then. In March I will do my fittings for alterations and meet with the caterer, baker, and wedding planner (which is included with my venue!), and fly to the North West for a bridal shower. So for the next 3 months I really just get to relax! Matt and I went to Collins Hill Park in Lawrenceville to get the first half of our engagement pictures done. It was a blast. We took almost 150 pictures total and about 50 made the final cut. I've posted them on the E Pic page. Julie (Matt's mom) did a really good job!
On friday, since both Matt and Julie have the day off of work, we're planning to go to downtown Lawrenceville to take the second half of pictures. At least that is the plan. It is supposed to be super sunny so I am excited! |
